Queer Ancestors Project Printmaking!
This workshop is for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, nonbinary, genderqueer, queer, questioning, and intersex people, ages 18-26, who are interested in exploring their Queer and Trans ancestry. We’ll spend 6 fabulous months together studying linocut printmaking and Q/T history. The workshop is free and supplies are included.
Queer Ancestors Project Resists!
This workshop is for transgender, non-binary, lesbian, bisexual, gay, queer, questioning, two-spirit, and intersex people, aged 18 to 28, who are interested in creating prints exploring resistance. We’ll spend 15 weeks together studying linocut printmaking and resistance-oriented images, and supporting one another as we create.
Kaleidoscope Writing Workshop!
Queer Ancestors Project and Still Here SF present a FREE creative writing workshop for transgender, queer, lesbian, gay, bisexual, gender nonconforming, questioning, and intersex people, ages 18-26, to explore the lives and stories of our queer/trans ancestors. Over 14 weeks, we’ll build community in workshops led by local queer/trans BIPOC artists, express ourselves in multiple writing genres, support each other’s creative processes, & connect to those who came before.
Queer Ancestors Project Comix!
This workshop is for transgender, non-binary, lesbian, bisexual, gay, queer, questioning, two-spirit, and intersex people, aged 18 to 26, who are interested in creating comics exploring resistance. Artists who identify as Black, Latino(a/x/e), Indigenous, Asian-Pacific Islander, or BIPOC are encouraged to apply. Artists with disabilities are also encouraged to apply. A small, cohort of 10 youth participants from diverse creative and cultural backgrounds will spend four Sunday afternoons in March 2025 learning about comics. Together we will make comics in the spirit and tradition of resistance.
