Queer Ancestors Project Prints!

This workshop is for transgender, nonbinary, lesbian, bisexual, gay, genderqueer, queer, questioning, and intersex people, ages 18-26, who are interested in exploring their Queer and Trans ancestry. We’ll spend 6 fabulous months together studying linocut printmaking and Q/T history. The workshop is free and supplies are included. Throughout the workshop we’ll share our experiences, encourage exploration, support each other’s creativity, and honor one another’s visions. The workshop will culminate in a group exhibition!

Chrysalis Studio Director Katie Gilmartin will teach the workshop, along with a variety of guest speakers. Katie's goals for the workshop are for artists to develop artistically, build relationships with their ancestors and one another, and be well-supported as Queer and Trans artists.
